Story

replaces his father in some shots, as the two look remarkably alike. Visible during the first season, Dexter has a large scar on his left side. Later, in the second season, the scar moved to his right side, leaving his left side unmarked..

Absolutely brilliant. The visual contrast between the darkness of Dexter’s secret life and the glitz of Miami adds an almost surreal quality. The character development is right on the money, slowly revealing the backstory so that one can see the development of Dexter’s sociopath personality and his confusion of human behavior compared to his own.
The fact that he is an expert at splattering blood
Dexter is an actor in his own life; his relationships among co-workers and his personal life are well portrayed in video media. This is a dark work, but set in the bizarre world of life in Miami it is almost believable. Developers of this series should also check out the books by Andrew Vachss.
