One of the characters wears a Rolex Daytona Ceramic in 1990, but the watch was only released in 2016.. I really enjoyed watching this film, directed by Gilles Lellouch and starring Adele Exarchopoulos and Francois Civil, who I really appreciate. It has all the ingredients to make a French Bockbuster, but they fall short.
After a while we wonder if we got to the wrong screening room
The first part is too long to show the scene of their young life and love. Also, we start to feel disappointed that we didn’t see Adele and Francois after an hour. If this loooong 1st part was planned, the film should have been released 2 times.
The adaptation of the script seemed quite weak to me
Because I think that although it was too long, it was good. The second part of their adult life is not believable and not interesting enough in many aspects. Also, I didn’t feel any connection with this reunion love story.
As for the ending, it was too easy
It’s a shame because I feel like we missed the opportunity to see a great film here. Great Mallory Wanecque as Jackie and Malik Frikah as the young Clotaire, who offer a great performance.
