Story
Trapped on a farm in rural Georgia, a group of neighbors must put aside their differences and band together in the face of a mysterious, deadly threat. Adapted from the book Stinger (1988) by Robert McCammon. Referenced in Korman Productions Deep Dive TV Podcast: Cup of Tea on Peacock Deep Dive: S1 E1/2 “Think Bubbles”/”My Little Lighthouse” (2024). As soon as the blue line came up I immediately thought “lost” and “under the dome” two other shows where people get trapped somewhere and there’s some mysterious danger they must avoid. No questions are ever asked and that’s how they string us together like they have before. It’s not natural for humans to not ask obvious questions. This show has potential because of the tension between the characters but the isolation/mystery element is just another race to an island or a dome. Watch it but the slow pacing won’t hold my attention for long. It’s too boring at this rate and I’m not as dumb as they make me out to be.
